You do not need to be a 501(c)3 registered nonprofit to qualify for the discount, but we ask that you fill out a short application and provide feedback after your trip or distribution.
With flood waters continuing to rise, LuminAID is focusing its relief efforts on the families affected in southern Texas. Many throughout the affected region are without homes and without power. We're working with our nonprofit partners to distribute solar lights and phone chargers to families without power.

With this goal in mind, the Kickstarter for the PackLite Max 2-in-1 Phone Charger included several humanitarian packages for backers to show their support for refugees. LuminAID also announced in the midst of the campaign that they would donate 1,000 solar lights to families in need if the Kickstarter reached $200,000--a goal which was easily met.
As news of the devastation in Haiti becomes apparent in the wake of Hurricane Matthew, LuminAID and our charitable partners are working to help those affected by the storm who are in need of safe, sustainable lighting. This is especially meaningful for us, as it gives us another chance to give back to the people of Haiti, our original inspiration.
