Since debuting on Shark Tank last year, LuminAID has turned the green light on growth and innovation. That’s why we’re excited to announce that experienced sales executive Emil Heidkamp has joined the LuminAID Team! With wide-ranging experience in consumer products sales from startups to Fortune 500s, Emil is excited to bring his expertise to a small business perspective. With Emil as a part of the LuminAID Team, we’re looking forward to expanding our impact in retail and beyond.
Emil’s diverse career includes executive sales positions in a variety of industries at respected and up-and-coming companies -- including video game giant Konami as well Mattel Electronics. Emil describes some of his greatest achievements as being on the ground-floor of companies that went on to great success. “I enjoy helping others to achieve their goals and objectives,” he explained. And he certainly has; he’s proud to have trained sales managers that have risen to the top of their industries.
Although Emil initially retired from the sales industry last year, learning about the LuminAID mission changed his mind. He recalls the first time he heard of LuminAID: “Three years ago the LuminAID booth was across the aisle at the Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City. I was able to spend time with Andrea and Anna discussing their hopes and dreams for LuminAID.” In the following years, Emil kept up with the company’s growth. After retiring from his previous position as President of O2COOL--manufacturers of hydration products-- Emil decided that LuminAID's drive for success was an opportunity too good to miss. “Chatting with Anna and Andrea, we realized that I could add value in helping them to develop their retail channel sales and offer my expertise for the business. They offered me a position and I gladly accepted. I am excited about helping them to take LuminAID to the next level.”
