Gem
In order to expand your Gem, the valve on the bottom must be open all the way.
To inflate, pull the top of the light away from the base while the valve is open.
To collapse the Gem, re-open the valve on the bottom base, then press the top of the light down towards the base.

The Gem’s handle is removable! Just snap it off at the ends if that is your preference.
Twist
In order to expand your Twist, the valve on the bottom must be open all the way.
To collapse the Twist, re-open the valve on the bottom base, then press the top of the light down towards the base in the option direction you went in order to inflate it.
To inflate, hold the base in one hand and the top in the other. Pull and twist in the direction of the creased edges to inflate all the way.
