With this goal in mind, the Kickstarter for the PackLite Max 2-in-1 Phone Charger included several humanitarian packages for backers to show their support for refugees. LuminAID also announced in the midst of the campaign that they would donate 1,000 solar lights to families in need if the Kickstarter reached $200,000--a goal which was easily met.
In May, LuminAID traveled to Las Vegas for Tom Shoes’ Pitch for Good Competition, along with six other finalists. The competition focused on startups who share a vision of a better tomorrow. LuminAID impressed the judges with their mission and social impact, and ultimately won first place!

Even the reality investment show ABC’s Shark Tank found the LuminAID vision irresistible, and invited Anna and Andrea on the show for a chance to premiere their product on primetime.
