I am excited to share with you that LuminAID was recently acquired by Adventure Ready Brands. The Adventure Ready Brands’ family of brands are designed to inspire outdoor adventure, no matter the conditions – making them the perfect match for LuminAID.
LuminAID is still shining bright! For our customers, most things will stay the same. But behind the scenes, our Chicago-based team has access to more resources and capabilities than ever before now that we’ve joined the Adventure Ready Brands family. This will enable us to bring safe light to even more people around the world, and to provide our customers with exceptional experiences, and new product innovations to come (stay tuned!).
Not only is our team gaining access to new resources and capabilities, but we’re excited to bring you access to new products from the Adventure Ready Brands family. Adventure Ready Brands is based in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, with a long history in the outdoors and a team that’s passionate about outdoor adventure and developing innovative products for camping, emergency preparedness, and more. Their expertise, and their commitment to LuminAID’s mission to make safe light and energy available to all, made me feel that this was truly the right fit for LuminAID’s next chapter.
Our commitment to social impact remains as strong as ever. We are actively working with our NGO partners and customers to respond to the Ukrainian refugee crisis in Eastern Europe. Thanks to your support, thousands of solar lanterns and phone chargers are en route to Ukrainian refugees and aid workers already, with more to come. Over the last decade, we’ve had the honor of supplying lights to nonprofits working in over 100 countries, meeting needs that range from disaster relief, to literacy programs, to ecological conservation.
This wouldn’t have been possible without you. For those of you who backed LuminAID on our first crowdfunding campaign, who watched us on Shark Tank, or who trust our products to be there for your family in an emergency: thank you. Your support, feedback, and advice have shaped LuminAID into the company it is today. I’m proud to share this news with you today, and can’t wait for you to be part of LuminAID’s next chapter.
