How It Works
Charge it in the sun or by USB -- no batteries needed!
Energy stored in the internal battery is used to power the lantern's LED's when you need light at night.
Twist and compress for easy storage or charging on-the-go!
All three models are the same size and weight. The main difference is that each model has different colored light output:
Firefly: Warm White
Spectra: Multi-Color (9 different color modes, including white)

LuminAID solar lanterns and power lanterns can be recharged by solar power, or by micro-USB input.
A micro-USB recharging cable is included with each device.
For charge times and run times for each model, visit our Product Specs page.
You can solar charge your LuminAID in cloudy or overcast weather, but be aware that it will take longer to charge. We do not recommend solar charging indoors, because windows will filter light and reduce charging efficiency.
LuminAID's 2-in-1 Power Lantern models charge phones. The basic solar lantern models (Nova, Spectra, and Firefly) do not charge phones.
The Nova, Spectra, and Firefly solar lantern models all weigh 5oz.
The Nova, Spectra, and Firefly solar lantern models inflate into a 4.75" cube.
They pack flat to 4.75" x 4.75" x 1.0" for easy storage and charging on-the-go.
As Seen On Shark Tank!
The LuminAID Story
We were inspired to invent the LuminAID light after the 2010 Haiti Earthquake. We wanted to create something that could pack flat, was waterproof and long-lasting, and powered by the sun -- no batteries needed!
It's been a wild ride since then. You might have seen us on Shark Tank! We got our big break when we pitched the "Sharks" and made a deal with Mark Cuban.
To date, LuminAID lanterns have been used by nonprofits in over 100 countries, and we're proud to that our products are also used by consumers like you -- for camping, emergency preparedness, and backyard fun.
So well designed and easy to use.
Today a repairman had to come up the stairs from the basement, and there is no overhead light on the stairs. No problem! I hung a Titan lamp on a hook and the whole stairway was bright and safe. And I was prepared for last week's high winds and storm. I have two Titans right now but I will be getting more for gifts.
Sounds great Linda!
Great solar lantern
Very good and excellent customer service when a problem occurred with my lantern. Thanks
Grandbabies like them
I have a Titan that I LOVE. I gifted one to my SO, then gave two to my grands. They love having their own lights
Love my lamp. I use it when I go paddleboarding at night. There is enough of a glow to warn others I'm on the water and to provide some light for me to see. I took a backup flashlight with me first time out just in case, got hit with some rough water and got soaked. At the end of the ride the flash out no longer worked but the LuminAId was perfect.!! Love that its waterproof and floats. Several of the woman I paddle with will be looking to order as well. I'll be ordering another to use in my outdoor shower. Added a photo on the way out not quite dark yet but you can see the brightness .
That's awesome Roseanne! Thanks for sharing your wonderful experience with us! Paddleboarding at night? Wow!
Really impressed overall
I bought a lantern from REI 3 years ago. I used it on a weeklong camping trip. It worked great- until the next camping trip when I could not get the lamp to charge by way of solar or plug. By the time that camping trip rolled around it was past the window of return. Needless to say I was disappointed. I was scrolling through Instagram and saw the luminaid lamps come up in my feed. I made a comment about how I got one camping trip out of my lamp. The admins quickly responded to that comment and were adamant they stand by their lamp and would send me another- even after 3 years had gone by. I received another lamp within a week. Perfectly and divinely timed I had to help my sister fire wood pizzas in a storm outside. If it wasn’t for that lamp that I was able to hang inside the tent we would have had to throw the towel in earlier. We were so grateful for that lamp! From one women owned business to another- THANK YOU, for your lamp and for your stellar customer service and product. Very very grateful.
Hi Joanie, thanks for your heartfelt comment! We always stand behind our Products and we're super happy to be of great service!
