In honor of International Women’s Day, we are featuring the ShelterBox SHE Campaign, an initiative piloted by our partner ShelterBox. In organizing this campaign, ShelterBox hopes to highlight the stories of women around the world who have received training to rebuild their lives in the face of crisis. In addition to recognizing and celebrating the achievements of women, the campaign sheds light on how women are disproportionately affected by disasters.
Longtime LuminAID partner, ShelterBox, recently released a report detailing the scale of the unmet need for emergency shelter around the world.
Erik Elsea is canoeing the entire length of the Mississippi River this summer to raise awareness and funds for ShelterBox, a disaster response organization and longtime humanitarian partner of LuminAID. Elsea is lighting his way with the help of several LuminAID solar lanterns and phone chargers.
