About LuminAID's Give Light, Get Light Program

1.6 billion people around the world lack proper access to electricity. Many of these people are forced to rely upon dangerous, toxic, and expensive kerosene lanterns as their primary source of light. Through our Give Light, Get Light program, we partner with NGOs and non-profits all over the world to distribute LuminAID Lights to individuals who will greatly benefit from a safe, rechargeable light source.  LuminAID has distributed over 10,000 lights in more than 50 countries through the Give Light, Get Light project.  Join us in our mission to make light more accessible and sustainable for all!

Current Charitable Partners:

The Latitude Project (Nicaragua)

The Latitude Project will be partnering with LuminAID to deliver one solar-powered light with a book to children aged 6-17. The books ands lights are donated to students while Latitude works with their schools to ensure the children have continued access to education.

The Kikulu Foundation (Uganda)

The Kikulu Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports education for women and children in impoverished communities. The lights donated to Kikulu will provide a child in Uganda with a safe, sustainable, and portable source of light for nighttime safety and study.

Peace Corps Volunteers (Madagascar)

Peace Corps Volunteers Alle, Cassandra, Ian, and Rajany are stationed in communities in Madagascar where electricity is scarce at home. They are working to distribute LuminAID lights in their communities to artisans, educators, and Community Health Workers. (Haiti) is dedicated to providing lasting solutions to some of the world’s most critical problems, from natural disasters to environmental degradation, humanitarian crises to educational inequity. CAN-DO is committed to getting aid to the people who need it in a timely and transparent manner that maximizes impact.
