About LuminAID's Give Light, Get Light Program

1.6 billion people around the world lack proper access to electricity. Many of these people are forced to rely upon dangerous, toxic, and expensive kerosene lanterns as their primary source of light. Through our Give Light, Get Light program, we partner with NGOs and non-profits all over the world to distribute LuminAID Lights to individuals who will greatly benefit from a safe, rechargeable light source. LuminAID has distributed over 40,000 lights in more than 100 countries through the Give Light, Get Light project. Join us in our mission to make light more accessible and sustainable for all!

Current Charitable Focus:

Disaster Relief

Lights sponsored for disaster relief will be sent to partner organizations and distributed to families affected by Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Maria, and Hurricane Harvey. Current solar lantern distribution includes: Puerto Rico, Mexico, British Virgin Island, US Virgin Island, Turks and Caicos, Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados, Tortola, St Kitts & Nevis, Dominica, Leeward Islands, St. Maarten, Texas, Florida, and the Dominican Republic. Following natural disasters, safe light is one of the most critical needs for families left in the dark. Help us send lights for rescue, relief, and recovery.

Hurricane Relief

Lights sponsored through the Give Light, Get Light Program will be sent to Convoy of Hope's distribution center for Hurricane Harvey relief and their other relief work around the world.
