Sponsor a light that will be sent to one of our charitable and nonprofit partners, who will distribute them to families in need. Through the support of customers like you, LuminAID has distributed more than 50,000 lights across projects in more than 100 countries. About LuminAID's Give Light, Get Light Program

1.6 billion people around the world lack proper access to electricity. Many of these people are forced to rely upon dangerous, toxic, and expensive kerosene lanterns as their primary source of light. Through our Give Light, Get Light program, we partner with NGOs and nonprofits all over the world to distribute LuminAID lights to individuals who will greatly benefit from a safe, rechargeable light source. LuminAID has distributed over 50,000 lights in more than 100 countries from lights sponsored through the Give Light, Get Light Program. Disaster Relief

Lights sponsored for disaster relief will be sent to partner organizations and distributed to families affected by disasters the world over. As disasters arise, these lights will be sent to the areas of greatest need with one or more of our humanitarian partners. Following natural disasters, safe light is one of the most critical needs for families left in the dark. Help us send lights for rescue, relief, and recovery.

Our current partners in disaster relief aid include Convoy of Hope, Team Rubicon, and Mercy Corps. These organizations are currently responding to Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas. Learn more about LuminAID's Hurricane Dorian Response.

Allocate As Needed

Our humanitarian partners are working every day to help those in need. We use our ‘Allocate As Needed’ fund to send lights to the areas where they will have the greatest impact. Whether that’s a rural village without access to electricity, a community-based healthcare project, or refugees fleeing a crisis, your contribution makes a tangible impact for those who need it most.
